Lovely set of 'BLOSSOM' sterling silver ramekin forks - set of 12. Description: Early 20th century. Maker: Saart Bros. Company, Attleboro, Massachusetts. Pattern: Blossom, pattern circa 1908 Marks: Sterling; SSMC (Sterling Silver Mfg. Co., Providence, Rhode Island) each letter within a block. The SSMC mark was used by Saart Bros. after purchasing the rights to flatware patterns. Measurements: Twelve (12) Ramekin Forks. Each fork measures 5 inches long and 1 inch wide at the widest part of the fork. The lot of 12 forks weighs 171 grams or 5.5 troy ounces. Monogram: No monograms. Condition: Excellent estate condition. There is light scratching and wear consistent with the age of the piece(s) and normal use. About: Ramekin forks are perfect for eating creme brulee. The tines of the fork can be used to gently break the thin sugar crust on top of the custard.
